WITH JITE BRUME
Grief and sorrow are inevitable. They enter our lives in many ways, through significant losses like death and divorce or through the cumulative losses that occur in daily life. Amidst the noise and business of our existence, taking the time to work through our grief or creating space to transform through our experienced sorrow can be difficult. This course aims to give participants that time and space.
We'll consider the different ways grief can manifest, provide a safe space for participants to explore their loss, and be equipped with practical tools to manage grief holistically. These tools include movement, meditation and rituals designed to empower you in your healing journey. This is a journey we don't have to take alone. Our course offers a supportive community to walk this path with you.
Although each session will include time for sharing thoughts and feelings, which may be therapeutic, it's important to note that this course is not a substitute for therapy or counselling.
This course will take place over three weekends from the 30th of March until the 13th of April. We will meet on Sunday afternoons and spend two hours at a time together. If you need to tend to your sorrow or support someone grieving, this course is for you.
Send us an email to sign up for the course.

Jite is a Yoga teacher, a Reiki healer, an architect and landscape consultant who has been teaching yoga and meditation since 2008. She spends her time deepening her understanding of the environment, different cultures and the science of Yoga through learning, teaching and project work in Africa, Europe and Asia with various organisations. Her whole life is devoted to "improvement", be it personal, social, inner or environmental.
Since her discovery of Yoga in 2000 it has increasingly become an essential part of her life. This was initially, purely for its therapeutic benefits, then as a tool for personal development and finally, as a guide on her journey of Self-discovery.
Jite's practice is strongly anchored in the lineage of T. Krishnamacharya, which enables work on the physical, energetic, emotional and mental aspects of the Self and favours the internal pose over the physical, energy alignments over biomechanics. After an exploration of various approaches including Ashtanga, Hatha and Yin, she began teaching in 2008. Jite has received on-going support and mentorship from Stephane Chollet since 2002, and became a fully certified Suryashtanga teacher in 2013. She organises yoga and meditation retreats, courses, study groups and teacher trainings around the world.
Jite has been part of Surya World's Yoga & Ayurveda Teacher's Training team since 2015.
